My recordings are distorted

Try turning off the "Auto normalize" setting and reducing the "Amplification" setting to its lowest value. Also make sure the volume meter does not go in the red zone while recording. If it does, try reducing the gain parameter on the recording screen (only available on some devices and with some input sources).
