I cannot connect to USB Disk Pro over WiFi
This will test the connection to your iOS device:
- On your computer open a terminal. If you have a Mac, you do this by opening the Launchpad, selecting the Utilities folder and pressing on Terminal. If you have a PC, press Windows+R on your keyboard and type (without quotes) "cmd" and press enter.
- Type (without quotes) "ping ?.?.?.?", where you replace "?.?.?.?" by the numbers in the address you see at the bottom of USB Disk's home screen. Then press the return key.
- If you see a line similar to "Request timeout for icmp_seq 0" then there is a problem with the connection between you computer and your iOS device. Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- If you see a line similar to "64 bytes from 192.168.2.2: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=113.764 ms" then the Wi-Fi connection is working correctly. Try force closing USB Disk (exit the app, double tap the "home" button twice, then make a long press on USB Disk's icon; finally press the "-" shaped button that appeared on top of the icon), relaunch the app and try connecting. If this does not help, try rebooting your iOS device (press and hold the power/sleep button until a power off message appears and confirm it).
