At your workplace you probably have a Wi-Fi network using public IP addresses. For security reasons, our server will not let you establish an automatic connection with an iPhone when it has a public IP address. At home your network uses private IP addresses and this problem does not arise.
Normalization does not seem to work on some recordings.
The normalizing filter currently works by looking at the whole file for the maximal average volume. It then uses that value to amplify the recording. This means that if your recording is all quiet except for a one time loud sound, the filter will not amplify much. In this type of case use the volume boost.
Please also note that recordings made with early versions of Audio Memos (bellow 1.02) will not be normalized.

Recordings are stored in a wav file. Sample rate can be any of the following: 11025 Hz, 22050 Hz or 44100 Hz.

On some rare occasions, there can be a problem with the iPhone's install procedure. This is common to all applications being installed on the iPhone. The remedy is simple: the iPhone has to be rebooted. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds, drag the slider and wait. When the screen goes black, press the Sleep/Wake button to turn the iPhone back on. Alternatively, uninstalling then reinstalling Audio Memos can sometimes fix the problem as well.
What is the use of the "Downloaded" switch in the detail view?
The initial value of this element is ON, and is turned to OFF when the recording is downloaded from a web browser. (If you download your recordings using the Finder, this value will not change).
How can I send a recording by FTP (version 1.x of Audio Memos)?
To send a recording via FTP, go on the detail view of that recording and scroll down. Bellow the play button you will have a send button that will bring you to the FTP screen.
